Customer FAQ
Answers about SmartDID digital delivery, installation, support, subscriptions, cancellation, refunds, and payment disputes.
Are SmartDID purchases refundable?
Generally, no after software, credentials, access, provisioning, installation, configuration, support, or project work is delivered or begins. Refunds and remedies remain available where required by law or when a material delivery failure cannot reasonably be corrected.
Why are digital purchases generally non-refundable?
Digital files, credentials, source packages, configurations, access, and technical knowledge cannot practically be returned after disclosure or use. Professional time also cannot be recovered after work is performed.
Can I cancel before work starts?
A cancellation may be approved before delivery, provisioning, reserved work, third-party expense, or project performance. Non-recoverable processing, preparation, consultation, or third-party costs may be deducted.
What happens when the software has a confirmed defect?
Support will first attempt diagnosis, repair, replacement, reconfiguration, or reinstallation. A refund or other remedy may be reviewed when a material defect cannot be corrected within a reasonable period and the customer environment meets the stated requirements.
Is a refund available when my server or carrier is incompatible?
Not normally when incompatibility was undisclosed, outside the documented requirements, caused by third-party changes, or introduced by unsupported modifications. Compatibility should be confirmed before purchase.
Is installation included?
Only when installation is expressly listed in the invoice or quotation. Software delivery, installation, customization, and ongoing support may be separate items.
Are support and consulting hours refundable?
Hours already performed, reserved and attended, or consumed are not refundable except where required by law.
How do subscriptions cancel?
Cancellation stops future renewals when processed before the next billing date. The current billing period is generally not refunded or prorated.
What happens if I forget to cancel before renewal?
Contact support immediately. A refund is not guaranteed after the renewal period starts or resources are allocated.
Are hosting, DID, carrier, domain, SSL, cloud, or payment fees refundable?
Usually not after activation or purchase because third-party providers may not return those charges.
Does the policy prevent a PayPal or card dispute?
No. Payment providers and card issuers independently apply their rules. The policy documents the seller-customer agreement but does not override non-waivable legal or payment rights.
What delivery evidence may be retained?
Invoices, acceptance messages, download and access records, IP logs, package checksums, installation logs, provisioning records, support messages, screenshots, synchronization events, and completion acknowledgements.
Can service be suspended during a reversed or disputed payment?
Access to unpaid services may be suspended while the matter is investigated, provided applicable law and payment-provider requirements are respected.
Who is responsible for legal calling and caller-ID use?
The customer is responsible for lawful calling, consent, DNC compliance, number ownership, recording notices, carrier requirements, privacy, and telecommunications rules.
How do I request review?
Send the invoice number, transaction ID, payment date, problem description, screenshots or logs, troubleshooting completed, and requested resolution to the published support email.
